Over the years, we’ve expanded our reach to cover various development needs including women’s empowerment, environmental sustainability, peacebuilding, and support for vulnerable children and families.

Our History

FOUNDED

SUWA started in 2003 in Nigeria with the main purpose of building the capacity of communities, to respond to the HIV/AIDS Pandemic, Orphan and Vulnerable Children (OVC) intervention, Entrepreneurship, Peace Building initiatives and contribute to the reduction of Violence against Women and Girls.

Registration Status

SUWA is registered with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) with registration number: CAC/IT/NO. 26422 and has a functional Board ( 9 members).

SUWA exists to equip individuals, families, communities and institutions to develop,

manage, mitigate and sustain appropriate responses to bring about healthy life,

reconciliation, peaceful co-existence and transformation in societies.
